The maker says it detects a user-defined list of BLE MAC addresses to give a heads-up about what is around the user; includes a CTF with Windows Vista-era throwbacks, hardware and software puzzles, unlockable bling and GIFs, two custom PCBs sandwiching a screen for a retro-TV aesthetic, an ESP32-S3-based fully-programmable claim, twelve RGB LEDs, a custom lanyard, and stickers. The DEF CON 33 Creator Events List independently schedules a Friday BadgeLife Community drop naming FightDystopia alongside Submarine and FrogStar. This establishes a source-backed independent 2025 electronic artifact and scheduled event association, not an official DEF CON credential, universal or completed handout, BLE detection mechanism, security or privacy assurance, firmware source release, party-benefit accounting, or reusable-image rights.

The maker page identifies a Raspberry Pi RP2350, 1.28 inch GC9A01 240 by 240 round LCD, two SAO V1.69bis ports, addressable WS2812B RGB LEDs, an infrared receiver, six buttons, frog-themed CTF and game framing, and a Firmware v1.0 UF2 download with a copy-to-flash instruction. A Tindie listing separately calls it an electronic badge and says it was a Defcon pickup preorder; a later Uberflux listing shows an $80 / seven-sold / 23-remaining snapshot, a DEF CON 34 drop label, and $11 USPS Flat Rate shipping. These sources establish a real independent electronic artifact and a scheduled 2025 event association, not a confirmed completed handout, official DEF CON issuance, admission, exact production count, completed later fulfillment, firmware source release, or reusable-image rights.

Brooke's Bytes' live Uberflux listing identifies Agency Wand as an independently offered DEF CON 34 iteration of a wand-shaped badge first made for HackSpaceCon 2025. The current listing shows a $60 price, 19 remaining, 11 sold, PRE/DROP labels, and a DEF CON 34 BadgeLife Village drop listed for August 7 at 4 PM. It names an ATtiny1616, five reverse-mounted addressable LEDs, ambient/setup LEDs, two buttons, a CR2032, and exposed UART pins, while explicitly saying specifications and functionality may vary as fabrication and development continue. TrueControl's public documentation describes this as the second Wand iteration and publishes more DC34 hardware/firmware context, including a clearly labelled REV1 hardware-issue section. A late-July public r/Defcon post by u/ProfessionalPea2218 says its author has been designing and hand-soldering a small batch of badge PCBs to help launch Cyb3rBytes404, a self-described San Diego nonprofit for free hands-on youth coding and electronics projects. The author says the badges are not for sale and are intended for random giveaway throughout ‘the con.’ Separately, the public Cyb3rBytes404 GitHub repository calls itself the official repository for the cyber coding camp and documents a custom RP2040 cyber-cat badge, MicroPython starter material and challenges, an MPU-6050 motion module, and thirty WS2812 RGB LEDs. Its visible commit history places the reviewed README update on July 28, 2026. The shared project name supports a source-backed pre-event DEF CON 34 association, but it does not establish that the Reddit author controls the GitHub namespace, that every physical PCB matches the repository snapshot, final hardware, the run size, a completed giveaway, or a DEF CON-issued credential.

DEFCON Furs' official 2026 site and Hack Your Lives donation-store listing identify a distinct 2026 #badgelife badge for the DEF CON 34 period. The currently sold-out listing describes an assembled badge plus a blank PCB, an RP2040, LoRa radio, NFC, 48 RGB LEDs, MicroPython, touch points, and an SAO 1.69bis interface. It says paid orders will be assembled and shipped by September 30, while blanks were offered for in-person DEF CON pickup. Those are organizer-published preorder and planned-fulfillment statements, not proof that every order shipped, that each unit has the described final configuration, or that a specific recipient collected one.

The maker says a CH340E USB-to-serial converter supports UPDI programming of compatible ATtiny devices, names an onboard ATtiny814 with two RGB LED eyes, and describes USB-C plus a flexible FPC tongue used as a functional USB cable. It also claims configurable 3.3 V or 5 V UPDI voltage, SAO or included CR2032 power, and v1.1 pre-event corrections including an FPC power fuse. Lepi Labs' first-hand DC34 announcement corroborates planned Friday and Saturday BadgeLife Village drops. The current maker payload shows a $120 100-unit presale with 41 sold, DC34 pickup, and post-con shipping; it also says the badge would be $140 at the maker-described Hacker Warehouse booth during the conference. The maker describes an RP2350 with 4 MB flash, 16 RGB addressable LEDs, a 128×128 grayscale display, rechargeable LiPo via USB-C, and a fully addressable SAO port. It publishes game, CTF, multiplayer, word-building, and optional-component claims, but says hardware documentation and a stub firmware will only be provided after the conference. The project page says 30-plus CTF puzzles while the live listing says 35-plus, so the record preserves a broad maker-described challenge surface rather than resolving the discrepancy.
