Documented independent pre-event ESP32 RFID-kit badge; distribution unverified
The public `slash128v6/DC34_Cnet_Badge` repository documents a DC34-named electronic kit titled “DC34 CompuNet Badge - Malware Scan Tool 3000.” Its README has a banner reading “Join CompuNet & Critical Start at Defcon!” and lists a PCB, ESP32 Dev Module, round LCD, RFID reader, microSD reader/card, RGB LED, six-pin female SAO header, four-AAA battery holder, 3D-printed stand and slides, RFID sticker tags, plus a separate RGB-LED SAO. The public project tree includes hardware, software, SD-card assets, and a root MIT license. It is therefore a real, independently documented pre-event DEF CON 34-associated kit record, not evidence that DEF CON, CompuNet, or Critical Start authorized, made, issued, sold, or distributed it.

DC801's live Helgatchi product page identifies a $120 portable, rechargeable BLE-beacon and Wi-Fi-access-point scanner/hunter with configurable alerts. It names a XIAO ESP32-S3, 8 MB flash, a 400 mAh 3.7 V LiPo, 1.69-inch 240 by 280 Waveshare LCD, six RGB LEDs, vibration motor, and external SMA-RP 2.4 GHz antenna path. Pips801's public repository contains separate hardware and firmware/UI trees, while the public DEF CON 34 Badgelife response identifies DC801 + 801 Labs' Helgatchi as a new badge associated with the August event. The listing remains an independent seller artifact with planned July pickup/shipping terms—not official DEF CON issuance, a Human badge, admission, confirmed recipient delivery, a fully audited detection device, an open-source license, or a rights-cleared image.

The ICS Village DEF CON 34 Badge is an official FREE-WILi page-documented, on-site / Vendor Village, while-supplies-last hardware badge for DEF CON 34. Its technical page specifies an RP2350B-A4 platform with RS485/Modbus RTU, CAN/CAN FD, 10BASE-T1S and 10BASE-T1L, a DB15 connector, OLED, encoder and RGB UI, storage, USB serial, FreeWili Porpoise Purpose Firmware, OneWili API support, and a stated 3.7 V / 1000 mA internal battery. As of this pre-event source pass, it is not a delivered-run or official DEF CON admission credential.
Independent PFC161 touch-and-four-LED companion SAO announced for DEF CON 34
BigFuckingBadge's public DEF CON 34 Badgelife response lists a new $20 PORTAL gun SAO and says touching its end changes animated colors and interacts with the PORTAL Badge. The maker's live DEF CON 34 page independently describes a $20 Portal-gun companion with blue, orange/red, and off modes plus interaction with that year's Portal Badge. Hexum064's public `portal-gun-sao-dc33-code` source targets PFC161, defines a four-pixel LED buffer, blue/orange color states, a capacitive-touch threshold, and a touch-triggered state update; the public hardware tree holds KiCad, BOM/position, Gerber, and acrylic files. The source repositories retain `dc33` in their names, so they are an implementation/reuse trail rather than proof of a newly designed or unchanged 2026 production revision. Together the sources establish a real planned independent electronic SAO associated with DEF CON 34—not official DEF CON issuance, admission, confirmed fulfillment, a finalized host-compatibility claim, final hardware/firmware parity, third-party-IP permission, a source-license grant, or a rights-cleared image.
Sold-out pre-event Lepi Labs novelty VOC-indicator Simple Add-On for DEF CON 34
Lepi Labs' own Uberflux listing identifies the Volatile Organic Canary as a DEF CON 34-drop Simple Add-On. Its August 4, 2026 marketplace state is out of stock, with 11 sold, zero remaining, and a $45 listed price. The product describes an SGP40 VOC sensor plus SHT4x temperature/humidity sensor, a two-character fourteen-segment display, RGB LED, ATtiny1616-S controller, UPDI reprogramming, SAO or included CR2032 power, and a lanyard clip. Its maker explicitly says the device is novelty-only and must not be relied on for accurate air-quality measurements; it also records a ten-minute VOC-index warmup and a v1.0 board-order/remediation plan. Lepi Labs' first-hand DC34 announcement corroborates planned Friday and Saturday BadgeLife Village drops. This is a source-backed pre-event independent sensor SAO, not proof of final manufactured hardware, sold orders, safe or accurate air-quality measurement, delivery, host compatibility, DEF CON organizer affiliation, conference admission, or reusable-image rights.
