DC34 CompuNet Badge — Malware Scan Tool 3000
Documented independent pre-event ESP32 RFID-kit badge; distribution unverified
The public `slash128v6/DC34_Cnet_Badge` repository documents a DC34-named electronic kit titled “DC34 CompuNet Badge - Malware Scan Tool 3000.” Its README has a banner reading “Join CompuNet & Critical Start at Defcon!” and lists a PCB, ESP32 Dev Module, round LCD, RFID reader, microSD reader/card, RGB LED, six-pin female SAO header, four-AAA battery holder, 3D-printed stand and slides, RFID sticker tags, plus a separate RGB-LED SAO. The public project tree includes hardware, software, SD-card assets, and a root MIT license. It is therefore a real, independently documented pre-event DEF CON 34-associated kit record, not evidence that DEF CON, CompuNet, or Critical Start authorized, made, issued, sold, or distributed it.

Minew MTB11 ambient-light-harvesting BLE conference tag
IEEE RFID 2026's official conference page advertised a complimentary twentieth-anniversary Bluetooth Low Energy badge, with 100 badges available. Its dedicated badge page identifies the active artifact as a custom-printed Minew MTB11 ambient-light-harvesting BLE tag. The source says that, when sufficiently charged from ambient light, it transmits a unique 48-bit identifier, battery voltage, and temperature in Bluetooth Low Energy advertisement packets. The technical-programme chairs' welcome confirms the June 16-18 Santa Fe conference occurred, but the sources do not establish individual receipt or final device state.
MalO SAO (DEF CON 34)

ParallelLogic's Uberflux listing, public MalO_SAO source/design repository, and first-hand Hackaday.io project diary document a planned DEF CON 34 Simple Add-On based on the SCP-1471-A MalO setting. The marketplace's August 4, 2026 snapshot lists $50, 43 sold, and 57 remaining. The repository says the units are intended for online sale and DEF CON 34 handout in August 2026, identifies an RP2350B, 16 MB external flash, 1.5-inch 128 by 128 grayscale OLED, standard six-pin SAO header, USB-C, capacitive touch, potentiometer, buzzer, microphone, hall sensor, IMU, ambient-light sensor, IR transmit/receive, NFC/RFID, and LED banks. Its project diary confirms the work is ongoing and documents early prototype testing. The repository declares the work CC BY-SA 3.0. This is a source-backed pre-event independent badge record, not proof that a final revision has shipped, that all promoted functions are complete, that every radio/sensor interaction is safe or private, that a named third-party lore asset grants image rights, that the project is DEF CON-issued, or that it grants admission.
