The Garoa and official V21 event sources establish the completed São Paulo conference, while the public source trail documents an ESP8266 badge with a 128×64 OLED, buttons, sound/IR path, microSD socket, FTDI programming header, and public KiCad/Gerber/BOM material. It does not prove one final firmware or hardware revision for every conference unit.

Documented independent pre-event ESP32 RFID-kit badge; distribution unverified
The public `slash128v6/DC34_Cnet_Badge` repository documents a DC34-named electronic kit titled “DC34 CompuNet Badge - Malware Scan Tool 3000.” Its README has a banner reading “Join CompuNet & Critical Start at Defcon!” and lists a PCB, ESP32 Dev Module, round LCD, RFID reader, microSD reader/card, RGB LED, six-pin female SAO header, four-AAA battery holder, 3D-printed stand and slides, RFID sticker tags, plus a separate RGB-LED SAO. The public project tree includes hardware, software, SD-card assets, and a root MIT license. It is therefore a real, independently documented pre-event DEF CON 34-associated kit record, not evidence that DEF CON, CompuNet, or Critical Start authorized, made, issued, sold, or distributed it.
Maker-published physical silent-disco badge; organizer role and handoff unverified
LastZactionHero's public repository is titled DEF CON Silent Disco Badge and documents a wearable electronic badge that plays local DJ mixes, drives a music-linked light show, and syncs badge-to-badge over infrared. Its August 4 maintainer update says the boards were fabricated, assembled, and playing music, and that every badge's QR silkscreen points to the repository. The public archive contains KiCad design and fabrication material, firmware, and a MIT license, sufficient to record a distinct maker-published physical DEF CON 34-associated artifact. No reviewed DEF CON, venue, silent-disco organizer, sales, or handoff source establishes official issuance, a run size, recipient allocation, or completed event distribution.
Maker-published planned SSTV badge project for HRV/DEF CON 34; physical unit unverified
The public `livitup/hrv-sstv-badge` repository describes itself as building an SSTV #badgelife badge for HRV at DEFCON 34. Its commit-pinned source contains a project README, native KiCad board files, and a status document dated March 22, 2026 that still records design and prototype milestones rather than a shipped unit. Ham Radio Village's own page independently confirms its DEF CON 34 event in Las Vegas on August 6-9, 2026, but does not identify or endorse this project. The sources therefore support a publicly documented planned independent electronic-badge project associated with HRV/DEF CON 34, not an HRV- or DEF CON-issued artifact, ticket benefit, access credential, completed unit, allocation, delivery, or rights-cleared image.
Maker-announced independent Hacker Pager revision for DEF CON 34; handoff outcome unverified
A first-hand Exploitee.rs announcement says the team is bringing a new Hacker Pager revision to DEF CON 34, with planned online availability and BadgeLife Village pickup. Its official project site documents an ESP32-S3, Semtech SX1262 LoRa radio, monochrome LCD, microSD, USB-C, rechargeable LiPo power, buttons, speaker, vibration motor, LEDs, and open design sources; its current update page labels firmware 2.7.26.pager as DEF CON 34. Public electronics and case repositories publish KiCad/BOM and mechanical source material under CERN-OHL-S-2.0. This is sufficient evidence for a distinct, independently sold pre-event BadgeLife artifact associated with DEF CON 34, not evidence of DEF CON issuance, authorization, admission, a completed sale, pickup, delivery, final production configuration, or rights-cleared image.
