AoSC's 2026 eChallengeCoin page describes a planned limited run of 40 brass electronic coins, framed as gifts for participants in its Choose Your Own Charity initiative rather than items for sale. It describes a Sara and the Missing Artifacts terminal text adventure, three groups of NeoPixels, a small speaker, one large touch pad for CircuitPython, no battery, 46-gram brass construction, and a Micro-USB serial connection; its form says a $100-or-greater youth-STEM-charity donation may receive a 2026 coin by U.S. mail or DEF CON pickup. The same page links the official CircuitPython Bradán Lane STUDIO Coin M0 profile as the build specifically for the eChallengeCoin. That profile identifies an ATSAMD21G1A, 4 MB flash, three RGB-NeoPixel groups, three capacitive touch pads, a speaker, and native USB-C. The linked primary sources therefore document a real planned independent DEF CON 34 electronic artifact while also disagreeing about USB connector type and touch-pad count; this record preserves the conflict rather than resolving it. They do not establish final manufactured-unit parity, confirmed donations or delivery, charity/tax treatment, official DEF CON issuance or admission, game-source licensing, or reusable-image rights.

Carolina Code Conference's organizer documented Circuit Board Badge pickup for its August 14-15 event, and its named badge partner published a source archive for an ESP32-S3 CircuitPython board. The archive identifies five WS2812 LEDs, three buttons, a 1.77-inch ST7735S display, Micro-USB, and CR123A or USB power. It supports a released badge software and hardware reference, not a recipient ledger, an independently audited final production configuration, or a rights-cleared physical-badge image.

Pre-event RP2040 mechanical macropad BadgeLife project

DCZia's MK9 is a public-source 3×3 mechanical macropad intended as a neck-wearable DEF CON 34 BadgeLife project. Project documentation specifies nine MX switches, RGB per-key and edge lighting, an accelerometer, two 6-pin SAO connectors, USB-C or three-AAA power, CircuitPython firmware, and QMK-compatible hardware. A public August 2 announcement says the project plans BadgeLife pickup, but this remains a pre-event independent badge rather than an official DEF CON admission credential.

Bare-PCB attendee badge and five advanced prototypes

IEEE Rising Stars' official post-event Badge Project page says every 2026 attendee received a bare PCB with no components, while only about five manually assembled advanced badges were prototyped. A separate pre-event SEAL-Embedded source snapshot documents a Raspberry Pi Pico W BLE networking-badge development track, but neither source identifies it as one of those five units. The record therefore keeps the all-attendee bare-PCB and limited-prototype claims separate and does not treat a public development branch as a universal working badge.

INSPECTRON 34 is an independent retro-CRT television-shaped Simple Add-On documented by its maker's post-conference public repository. The project records an RP2040, 16 MB flash, 1.14-inch ST7789V display, CircuitPython, USB-drive GIF loading, a DC34 right-port SAO design, and a completed DEF CON 34 run of about 20 sold boards. The post-conference handoff identifies V5 as the current released firmware. It is not an official DEF CON Human badge or admission credential.
