The repository documents an RP2040-driven curved blue LED display badge with motion, ambient-light, touch, USB-C, firmware, and schematic surfaces. Those sources establish a maker-documented event-associated electronic artifact, not DEF CON issuance, an identified commissioner, attendee allocation, a credential function, or a completed recipient handoff.
Independent CH32V003 bare-metal UART crypto-puzzle badge offered toward DEF CON 34
K Badges' maker-controlled Tindie listing identifies Ouroboros as a $29.99 bare-metal RISC-V-assembly electronic badge on a CH32V003, with a custom UART cryptographic puzzle, a 12-LED Charlieplexed matrix, a circular single-layer PCB with exposed traces, and a hand-soldered two-AA configuration. Its August 4, 2026 storefront snapshot is out of stock; the seller says a new order is coming and hopes to bring some to DEF CON, rather than confirming units, arrival, pickup, or delivery. In a first-person r/Defcon announcement, the maker says they created the project and links the Tindie page and a GitHub technical explainer, while separately offering to arrange a DEF CON pickup by email for Tindie buyers. The product also makes 115200-baud puzzle, cryptographic-framework, low-power, and performance statements, but neither the product nor the maker-linked generic AVR framework establishes a released matching CH32V003 firmware or hardware package. This is a source-backed independent pre-event maker offering, not an official DEF CON badge, registration credential, confirmed fulfillment, verified cryptographic implementation, hardware-safety record, or reusable-image source.
Source-backed RP2040 LED-matrix conference badge
Security Fest 2026's public firmware repository identifies this as the official conference badge: a small, hackable RP2040 device with a 9×9 LED matrix, six buttons, USB surface, and public firmware. The official event site confirms the completed May 28-29 Gothenburg conference, while a contemporaneous attendee report credits Carl Vargklint's badge work. Allocation and delivery are not documented.
MIT-licensed ESP32-S3 badge with Doom, MicroPython, and IR boop

Post-event Pimoroni Blinky 2350 developer-conference badge; organizer allocation unverified
A public post-event app archive by Mainak Sarkar identifies a Pimoroni Blinky 2350 badge as handed out at Workday DevCon 2026 and says it ran the badgeware MicroPython operating system and app launcher. Workday's official pages establish the completed June 1-4 Las Vegas developer conference, but do not directly document badge issuance, recipient allocation, custom hardware, event firmware, or image rights. This is therefore a source-backed event badge record with intentionally limited organizer attribution.
Planned Badge.Team badge: ESP32-P4 ambition versus CH643 starfish board in layout
A pre-event record for the February 19-21, 2027 HackerHotel badge. Badge.Team's homepage still advertises LoRa, a keyboard, a big screen, and an ESP32-P4-class processor, while the official badgeteam/hackerhotel2027-hardware repository, under active layout work by Renze Nicolai and Julian Scheffers since September 2026, holds a CERN-OHL-P-2.0 KiCad design for a starfish-shaped CH643 LED-matrix board with infrared and LiPo charging, with a prototype-1 Gerber and assembly package committed on October 22, 2026. Which direction ships is not yet stated.
