DEF CON 34 Badge

Completed electronic Human badge with Baochip, QR interaction, and post-event token conversion

DEF CON's official news confirms DEF CON 34 wrapped on August 10, 2026. Its official badge-help page now documents the issued electronic Human badge's post-conference conversion to a hardware security token, current firmware-update path, public source-code links, and the in-conference encrypted-QR light-pattern exchange. The official July 31 reveal names Bunnie Huang as creator and Baochip as the inspectable silicon platform, while the public core-module KiCad archive and `dc34-vault` source provide a specific hardware and software trail. This establishes a completed official badge record without treating later public source as a production ledger or a reusable-image grant.

Hacker Boba Badge Kit (DEF CON 34)

Current $10 no-MCU CR2032 flashing-LED soldering kit; handoff and assembly outcome unverified

Brooke's Bytes' live Uberflux listing calls Hacker Boba a beginner-friendly Hacker Boba PCB Badge Kit. The current page shows a $10 price, 17 remaining, 33 sold, PRE/DROP labels, and a DEF CON 34 BadgeLife Village drop listed for August 7 at 4 PM. It lists a Hacker Boba PCB badge, keychain, power switch, CR2032 holder and included CR2032, three flashing RGB LEDs, and three resistors; it says the DIY kit arrives unsoldered, needs basic soldering supplies, has no microcontroller or firmware, and includes a QR code that opens a Google Maps Boba Shop search. Badge.Life separately schedules Brookes Bytes Badge and SAOs in the same Friday 4 PM slot. This supports a distinct pre-event electronic kit record, not a completed sale or assembly, DEF CON issuance or admission role, electrical-safety validation, a hardware-design release, or reusable listing images.

IEEE RFID 2026 Passive RAIN RFID Badge

Custom-printed passive UHF/QR conference tag

IEEE RFID 2026's dedicated badge page identifies a second conference artifact: a custom-printed passive RAIN RFID/UHF tag that can also be optically associated with its conference identifier through a QR code. The page says each tag uses a unique 96-bit, sequential conference/demo identifier rather than a GS1-compliant retail EPC, and that the identifier contains no personal attendee information. The technical-programme chairs' welcome confirms the June 16-18 Santa Fe event, while the published sources do not establish recipient assignment, completed handoff, physical tag construction, or detailed QR behavior.
