BSides Vancouver 2019 Badge

TwinkleTwinkie PCB-art badge

TwinkleTwinkie's DEF CON 27 Hardware Hacking Village bio lists the BSides Vancouver 2019 Badge among notable artistic PCB badges and indie badge add-ons produced by the independent PCB artist. The current official B|Sides Vancouver site keeps the Vancouver Security BSides lineage visible, while this pass keeps the badge record limited to the artifact name, maker trail, and PCB-art classification.

BSides Cheltenham 2023 Delorean Badge

ATtiny402 DeLorean PCB-art conference badge

An electronic PCB-art conference badge documented by its maker and badge sponsor, Punk Security, for BSides Cheltenham 2023. Punk Security's own dated event listing identifies its June 3 Cheltenham appearance as that year's badge-sponsor engagement, names a talk on building the BSides Delorean badges, and describes them as functional conference badges. The public `bsides-cheltenham-2023-badge` repository calls the artifact the Delorean badge, reports that parts sold for badge completion on the day raised more than £300 for Mind, and preserves EAGLE, Gerber, library, and Arduino firmware material. Its parts list names an ATtiny402, button, CR2032 clip, NeoPixel, and 3528 blue LED. The reviewed sources do not establish organizer-side 2023 confirmation, venue, production quantity, attendee allocation, individual handoff, final unit-by-unit configuration, completed assembly count, safety validation, or reusable image provenance.

THOTCON 0xC Badge

Contra-themed laser-tag badge with custom clear-PC housing

The THOTCON 0xC badge was a Chicago electronic conference badge built around a Contra-inspired, conference-wide laser-tag game and a custom injection-molded clear polycarbonate housing. Rob Rehrig's first-hand writeup documents the badge theme, enclosure work, IR receiver/emitter layout, TIR lens work, Xometry manufacturing path, and roughly 2,000-badge production scale.

Luna SAO (DEF CON 34)

Pre-event yellow-LED art Simple Add-On for DEF CON 34

delphi's live Uberflux listing calls Luna a simple PCB add-on for DEF CON 34. Its August 4, 2026 marketplace snapshot lists $10, six sold, and 44 remaining, with on-site-only DEF CON 34 pickup and tentative Friday/Saturday BadgeLife Village times. The product says each approximately 57 by 50 mm unit is fully assembled and tested, has a standard 2 by 3 SAO header, and lights a yellow LED in Luna's forehead when connected to the DC34 badge; it explicitly says no adapter is needed. The source supports a real planned light-up art SAO and an independent event-acquisition claim, but not its exact LED part, circuitry, power/current behavior, broad host compatibility, final inventory, completed pickup, DEF CON organizer status, conference admission, or reusable-image rights.

METROPOLIS AI SAO (DEF CON 34)

Pre-event red-eye art Simple Add-On with no described AI software

coryallegory's live Uberflux listing calls this METROPOLIS AI SAO and says it is inspired by Maria, the art-deco automaton from Fritz Lang's 1927 Metropolis. Its August 4, 2026 marketplace snapshot lists $20, 20 sold, and ten remaining, with a free Saturday BadgeLife Village pickup label and a pre-order statement for DEF CON 34 or BSidesLV pickup. The maker says each fully assembled unit uses a standard 2 by 3 SAO header and has a red eye that glows when powered through that header. The listing supplies no description of a model, application, controller, firmware, or other artificial-intelligence capability. This is a source-backed pre-event independent LED art SAO record, not evidence of AI software, final manufacture, completed pickup, universal electrical compatibility, use rights in the film inspiration, DEF CON organizer affiliation, conference admission, or reusable-image rights.
