ESP32-S3 Security BSides badge with a two-day badge competition and a post-event unlock
The electronic badge of BSides Lisbon 2026, held October 29-30 at Auditório Prof. Simões dos Santos in Lisbon. The official badge page credits kripthor with developing it once again and Bitsight with sponsoring it, and asked attendees to bring a USB-C cable and a powerbank, plus a phone or laptop for the full experience. After the conference the page said a badge competition ran throughout both days and the game is over. A new official unlock page says the badge is an ESP32-S3 that ran ARIA's firmware with flash encryption and refused other firmware, and that a published unlock code erases its data and turns it into an ordinary ESP32-S3 board. Board files, firmware source, unit counts, and competition results are not public.
