Planned tenth-anniversary Supercon badge; design unrevealed
Hackaday's official August 13, 2026 ticket announcement says Supercon Ten admission includes a sweet hackable badge, and the September 12, 2026 newsletter adds that the badge is going to be bigger this year but that this is all organizers can say at this time. The July call for proposals schedules a Friday badge-hacking day and a Sunday badge-hack showcase. No controller, board, display, radio, firmware, or artwork has been published, so this is an organizer-confirmed planned badge rather than a revealed design.

SourceIt extends the strongly documented Pasadena Supercon badge lineage, from the 2016 LED-matrix badge through the 2025 Communicator, into the tenth-anniversary edition while keeping the record at the exact organizer statements: a bigger hackable badge is promised, and nothing about its construction is known. It also anchors the new two-stage ArtCenter South Campus edition in the catalogue ahead of the usual October badge-reveal cycle.
Nothing is published. No reviewed Hackaday source announces a 2026 controller, PCB, display, radio, keyboard, power system, SAO port, connector standard, dimensions, artwork, enclosure, or production quantity. The 2025 Communicator Badge and every earlier Supercon badge remain prior-year records and are not reused as 2026 specifications.
Nothing is published. No 2026 firmware, repository, source license, flashing workflow, badge game, or challenge system has been released. An author's comment reply to a reader, that the badge must have an add-on, is a teaser, not a specification.
Hackaday frames Supercon Ten as the tenth in-person Superconference on November 6-8, 2026 in Pasadena. The July 13 call for proposals moves the two 20-and-40-minute talk tracks a few blocks south to the ArtCenter South Campus with roughly 20 percent more capacity while keeping the Friday badge-hacking day at Supplyframe HQ; the August 13 ticket announcement priced early-bird admission at 150 dollars against a 296-dollar regular ticket plus fees; and the September 12 newsletter and September 23 first-round speaker announcement keep badge hacking among the advertised festivities without revealing the badge.
Lifecycle
The official September 12, 2026 newsletter says the badge is going to be bigger this year but that this is all organizers can say at this time. The statement is retained verbatim and is not converted into a size, feature, or component claim.

SourceThe official call for proposals schedules a casual badge-hacking day at Supplyframe HQ on the morning of Friday, November 6 and a Sunday-evening showcase of attendee badge hacks. The schedule proves the hacking programme, not a badge design or a per-attendee handout record.
SourceOperational history
The United States record remains source-backed and image-free rather than copying source-page media, documentation screenshots, event photos, social media, placeholders, or generated approximations.
The catalogue preserves the organizer-confirmed planned badge without presenting teaser language as a hardware specification, a completed build, or an attendee-wide delivery record.
Readers can follow the documented lineage without assuming the tenth-anniversary badge repeats any earlier platform or feature.
