lordherard's Meshtastic 2.8.1 port runs standalone without a phone: channel and direct messages with a shared 20-message volatile history, an on-badge keyboard and quick replies, LED and L4-level sound alerts, mesh stats, a node inspector, recent activity, and diagnostics, with Bluetooth LE pairing to the Meshtastic app. RF output stays at 10 dBm until the radio stage is measured.

Unofficial GPL-3.0 Meshtastic 2.8.1 port for the Ekoparty 2024 badge, published October 30, 2026. It adds channel and direct messages, an on-badge keyboard with quick replies, LED and sound notifications, mesh statistics, a node inspector, and diagnostics, and fixes RF output at 10 dBm and audio at level L4. The README says its owner validated it on hardware and used it at Ekoparty 2026. Not an Electronic Cats or Ekoparty release.
