official unlock procedure
BSides Lisbon published an unlock code for the badge's serial console. After two confirmation steps the badge erases its contacts, Stegomatrix messages, high scores, and the game firmware, switches flash encryption off, and waits for new firmware. Owners then flash a merged binary with esptool or the Arduino IDE, adding --no-stub and --no-compress because secure download mode stays on.

official badge page
Official 2026 badge page: the badge is electronic, kripthor developed the conference badge once again, and Bitsight sponsors it; attendees needed a USB-C cable and a powerbank, and a phone or laptop for the full experience. Since the conference it says the badge competition ran throughout both days, the game is over, and the badge is the owner's to unlock.
